Over the past few years, Centaurus has grown its adoption network far beyond Poland. Today our horses find homes in Sweden, Germany, the Czech Republic, and Spain, and for us every one of those adoptions is something much bigger than a change of place. It is another real home. One for years, and one for good. ❤️
Behind every adoption stands the quiet work of our coordinators. The people who get to know each horse, who talk for weeks with families across Europe, who check that every new home is the right one, and who follow each horse long after the transport doors close. Matching a horse with people who can truly give it a calm, safe life takes time, patience, and care. It is never just paperwork. It is finding the one place where a particular animal will finally feel at peace.
As our work reaches further, we also want to reach further to find those people. The ones who are ready to take in an animal that has been through so much and give it the steady, safe life it never had. Extending our adoptions into more European countries was a natural and very important step. Because of it, horses that not long ago were waiting here for their chance now live everywhere from northern Sweden all the way down to the south of Spain, in Andalusia.
And you can see it in the horses themselves.
A horse that once flinched at every movement now trusts the hands that feed it. One that arrived exhausted and unsure now runs across a pasture that is truly its own. This is what rescue looks like when it reaches all the way to the end. Not just survival, but a whole new life, with people who chose to stay for good.
In the gallery you will see some of them. Horses that left Centaurus far beyond Poland’s borders and found their place with people who decided to keep them for life. For us this is one of the most beautiful proofs that rescue really can lead somewhere further.
