Some journeys do not begin with a single decision. They begin with a name that keeps coming back. A message. A photo. A voice asking for help, and then another, and then another, until you know exactly where you need to go next.
For us, that place is Albania.
For years we have helped animals far beyond Poland. We have worked in Romania, Croatia, and many other countries, getting to know the local problems, the people trying to solve them, and the places where there is still far too little support. So Albania did not appear in our work suddenly, out of nowhere. This subject simply kept returning to us, again and again.
And then came the voices.
More and more people began reaching out to us with the same plea: come, get more involved, start working there on the ground. Those requests were not something we could ignore. When people who love animals ask you for help this many times, you listen. So we did.
We contacted people who are already helping animals in Albania. The coordinators, the local activists, the ones who are there every single day, who see the animals on the streets and refuse to look away. Together we began reaching case after case, helping specific animals, and searching for real solutions to the problems they face every day.
We are still getting to know Albania, its reality, and the true scale of the need. It is not something you learn from a distance. It takes time, trust, and people on both sides willing to build something together. And that is exactly what is starting to happen.
We have also received an early invitation to a major conference on animal welfare in Albania this October. For us it is another step in getting to know the people working on the ground, and in growing our help exactly where it has begun to be truly needed. A room full of people who care is where lasting change so often starts.
And the first results are already here.
You can follow them right now on our profiles. Mali. Bianka. Roxy. And more animals whose stories we are sharing with you as they unfold. They are all from Albania. It is their health and their future that we are fighting for, together with the people helping on the ground. Behind each of those names is a living animal who, not long ago, had no one. Now they have a whole network of people refusing to give up on them.
You can see it in them too. An animal that arrived frightened and exhausted, slowly learning that a human hand can be gentle. A story that started in the hardest place, now turning, day by day, toward something better. This is what it looks like when help finally arrives.
So Albania has become another direction for us, one that grew naturally out of everything we have been doing for years. Out of contacts, out of requests for help, out of specific animals, and out of people who are there every day and want to change things. Now we want to be part of that change too.
Because this is what Animals Without Borders means. An animal has no passport and belongs to no single country. Suffering looks the same on every side of every border. And wherever people are asking for help, we want to answer.
None of this would be possible without you. Every case we reach, every animal we fight for, carries your support beside the people who make it happen on the ground. We have seen, again and again, how much can change when good people simply refuse to give up. So we are not stopping. Albania is one more point on the map, one more place where hope has arrived, and we will keep reaching further, for as long as there is an animal somewhere waiting for someone to come.
