Help Luna recover after a winter of neglect

Appeal

Luna arrived at our sanctuary dangerously underweight. With urgent veterinary care and daily rehabilitation, she can still have a safe, healthy life.

Luna is a 14-year-old mare who was found standing alone in a flooded paddock, too weak to reach the remaining hay. When our team arrived, she could barely lift her head. She had survived a long winter with almost no shelter, no farrier care, and far too little food.

In her first days at Centaurus she received emergency veterinary treatment, warm stabling, and a carefully managed feeding plan. Her hooves were in a critical state, and she needed pain relief before she could walk comfortably again. The good news is that Luna is a fighter. She already looks for our grooms each morning and is beginning to trust people again.

The next months will decide how fully she recovers. She still needs regular vet checks, special feed, hoof rehabilitation, and the quiet routine of sanctuary life. Every donation toward this appeal covers the care she cannot wait for: medicine, nutrition, and the daily work that will give her a second chance.

If you can help Luna now, you are not only feeding one horse. You are telling her that her story does not end in that paddock.
